Ways to know what's up besides reading the blog

Despite its ease of use, I don't always update my blog. There are two other ways of knowing what's up.
  1. Read the About Me column in the sidebar
    • I often update the "current condition" more often than the blog itself 'cause it doesn't require as much time to update
  2. Go to my Twitter page at http://www.twitter.com/gallardofn
    • I opened up a Twitter account today to make it easier for me to tell people what's going on in my life.

Time management

I was on Microsoft Messenger the other day and one of my friends screen names reminded me how close we were to Christmas, I also thought about how close we were to New Year's. So, I went looking for a countdown timer for the blog and set it up in the sidebar. It is under the subscribe links.

I also want to bring up the topic of time-management. At school, I have 2 long periods of time where I can accomplish something: lunchtime (1255-1340, sort of after-lunch break) and after-school (1500~). I spend Monday lunchtime, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after-school training for the duologue, Wednesday lunchtime on duty (watching Friends), Wednesday after-school training for the recorder ensemble and Friday on Library Duty. I have no open time-slot for training for the solo verse (Lunchtime isn't exactly a lot of time). I'll have to try to reschedule the Duologue training (again, I think I'm getting on the teacher's nerves), and try to squeeze in some time for the solo.

Recitals

I have 3 recitals coming up:
  • Duologue
  • Solo Verse
  • Recorder ensemble
The Duologue is on something you all know: A Christmas Carol. I'm doing it with the same guy (yes, he is a guy).

The solo verse is on the poem: Geography Lesson by Brain Patten. Personally, I think this poem is very touching.

The recorder ensemble is on La Guamina by Gioseffo Guami. I'll play a MIDI file on the next show.

I practice for the duologue every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; recorder on Wednesday; I have Library Duty on Friday. That really doesn't leave much time for my solo verse, I'll have to talk to my teacher about that.

Updated: A very exhausting week

This week was one of the most exhausting weeks of my life:

Last Thursday, I started doing a minutes worth of squats and leg-ups along with push-ups, I was sore the next day and decided to rest myself, but I had to do push-ups for the PE exam. I was just so sore, I couldn't reach the passing grade 20, instead I did 14.

Sunday was a day I wouldn't want to miss. We had a beach party with the BLD community. I spent the day playing with my friends (didn't get a chance to swim). I was sooo… tired the next day. Tuesday, I had a nap because i thought this was a sleeping problem, but I was still feeling sore and tired afterwards. Wednesday, I did the routine mentioned earlier and didn't feel all that sore. Thursday, I went to the track with a friend of mine to practice running for the next day (I was already used to my body being in pain).

Friday, I did a 100m dash (and lost) but that wasn't why I'm tired. I was supposed to have a soccer practice afterwards, but my teammates stood me up. I called one of them, and they said they canceld canceled it. He said he would be there in an hour to go to the Library. I spent the hour walking around the area (which is why I'm tired).

Today, we had a soccer practice and I learned quite a bit about soccer. That really exhausted me. Now, my thighs are sore and my shins hurt when I stretch.

With all this exhaustion, I have no idea of how I can keep up my strength tomorrow for an outing
